Aksana Mikalaeuna Shablinskaya is the mother of many children who lives in Verxnedvinsky’s district. Her family made it’s living by farming and for many years sold its crops to the local firms.

A meeting with K.P Sadouskai was held in the Committee. More then half a year she served in Gomel penal colony. She was sentenced to two years of imprisonment according to articles 389, 391, 386.

According to the agreement with the Polish bureau about 100 students will take part in Kalinovsky programme this year. These will be the students who were excluded from the Universities and school-leavers who have no opportunity to enter any Higher Educational Establishment due to their active civic position. 

The Committee pays much attention to the needs of regional activists and their families. People who many years work for democratic changes in our country who risk to lose their jobs, health and moral tranquility need special psychological and material care.

The Committee continues its programme “Care” which is aimed at helping older cultural workers. The list of such people who have a need in material and medical aid was created by the representatives of the Union of Belarusian Writers.

The Committee continues to help families of the repressed to get visas. Parents brothers sisters of the repressed got the possibility to visit their repressed relatives who study in Poland.

Almost a year ago the Committee for Defence of the Repressed “Salidarnasc” was set up. Its main aim is to help civic activists. To those who actively take part in democratic movement and through this are repressed by the government. Today we want to analyze the results of our yearly activities. The analytical material that we prepared gives the possibility to see forms of the repressions hold by the government, to understand if the repressed belong to any political party or nongovernmental organization, to show their age, gender, level of education. To see what kind of aid we were able to provide.
